Numbers Just In! RECC Delivers Financially Successful Stampede

Board applauds RECC staff for financial and operations success of stampede. The Nova Scotia Stampede is a signature event of the Nova Scotia Civic Centre Society (locally referred as the RECC board). The event was the vision of senior RECC staff with support of the board, to help with the financial sustainability of the RECC by leaning on the expertise of RECC staff in delivering event planning and marketing opportunities.

The Stampede, which is only in its second year of operation, has brought professional rodeo and marquee entertainment to Central Nova Scotia in a celebration of agriculture and music. Community support of the event has been exceptional, with business stepping up financially and the citizens volunteering to deliver an exciting experience.

These events take a team to plan and execute. We are deeply proud of the talent, passion and resiliency of the RECC staff who continue to build on past successes which contribute to the cultural fabric of our community.

The 2025 Nova Scotia Stampede was a huge financial success, realized only through the efforts of the staff and volunteers, support of businesses and event partners and the endorsement of the 40,000 guests who experienced the event. The Central Nova Scotia Civic Centre Society appreciates the commitments from the Province of Nova Scotia, Village of Bible Hill, Millbrook First Nation, Government of Canada and Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency for enabling the event to occur. We look forward to working with the Province of Nova Scotia to deliver another exceptional Stampede experience in 2026, building on this years success.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2026 musical entertainment in the weeks ahead.
